In Short – Fans of this ultra-casual eatery's pupusas - handmade tortillas stuffed with different fillings - line up after the bars close on weekend nights to munch cheap eats in the no-frills dining room. Neighborhood residents and workers pop in for quick breakfasts of huevos rancheros or rice, beans and plantains or all-day menu offerings from basics like burritos and enchiladas to the house special's combination of breaded shrimp, steak and salad. Take-out is available.

Great Food, OK Service

I love this place. The pupusas are authentic and the chicken vegetable soup is hearty and delicious. Service, though usually friendly, can be slow as there always seems to be few people in the kitchen. This may be why the food is consistently good, however. I always have to ask for my check, which is kind of nice because they don't rush you. If you tell them to bring your check when they bring your food, they always seem happy to comply.
- Pros: Consistently good food, nice service, very authentic
- Cons: Service can be slow
