What People Are Saying About Asia SF

The Scene – The party never stops at this only-in-San Francisco supper club, where the "ladies" (gender illusionists) flirt while they deliver big, colorful cocktails, then appear on the central runway in hourly lip-synch revues. It's good, clean but scandalous fun for the birthday-party crowd. The decor is Asian modern, with bamboo accents and back-lit paper screens that constantly change color. – – The Food – The food comes second to the outrageous entertainment, and the menu is somewhat overpriced. Choose carefully (remember: The steep prices include the "ladies")…
Editor's Tips
- What to Drink:
- Big and sweet are the rules for the specialty cocktails here; try Trina's Pussycat with whipped cream on top.
- Know Before You Go:
- Most nights, you're required to order the $35 three-course Menage a Trois menu, so be ready to cough up some cash (or plastic).
- The Extras:
- After dinner, head downstairs to the free dance club, where bachelorettes get crazy on the dance floor.
Out of towners love this place!!

As a straight guy I was skeptical of going to a gender illusionist bar. It turned out to great! The drinks are strong and they keep coming. I had friends from Orange County and the girls LOVED IT!! Favorite part of the night... A group of my LA girls asking the dancer where did you get that great wig? "Wig!? This is my real hair!!" HAHA!! Loved the whole night!
- Pros: Excellent staff, Good food
- Cons: Pricey
So Fun!!!

I went to Asia SF for my little sister's 21st birthday and had a BLAST! The entertainment was so much fun to watch and my sister had the time of her life, which is exactly what we wanted. It was a good chance to drink all those girly cocktails we know we all love. We ordered several rounds of a shot called the Hello Kitty which was vodka mixed with a liqueur called Ty Ku. We kept ordering it to watch the bartender pick up the bottle cause it lit up!
Asia was a great venue for a fun girls night out and I highly recommend it!
- Pros: Great drinks, fun crowd and entertainment
- Cons: maybe a little pricey
Great party atmosphere.

I went for a friends birthday party and was not disapointed. We had a rather large party of 15. We did RSVP for more, but some people did not show up, they waived the late cancelation fee for the no shows, which was really great of them. When we arrived we were immediately seated and they promptly took our drink orders. The entire staff was extremely friendly and not bashful at all, even though a few in our party were when they hostess got a little "friendly" with them. The drinks were delicious and the first round of food was braught to us within 10 minutes of being sat. During the appetizers the first 3 ladies went up on stage and entertained us with very entertaining and friendly dancing. Once we were all done with the appetizers they were allready taking a 2nd drink order and bringing out the entree's. The 2nd group of ladies up on stage were just as entertaining as the first.
I would definately recomend visiting if you are looking for a VERY ENTERTAINING party spot. Keep an open mind because the ladies are more then they seem.
- Pros: Entertaining ladies, prompt seating, food was great
- Cons: Uncomfortable seating.
Excellent venue for a celebration - watch the costs

AsiaSF is about San Francisco diversity! This long-time hip spot wows the out-of-towners and satisfies the locals who want to have a good time. This place is a favorite for bachelorette parties - we were a party of 8 - having chosen the Platinum Menu (prix fix - $48/person), the food is tasty, though portions are petite - like most of the wait-staff. House Specialty drinks - named with a lot gusto - are $10, and mixed well. They charged us a cake-cutting fee and 20%-service; so the bill added up by the end of the night. Of course the show is what attracts and I agree, the "girls" beautiful. Afterwords, we headed downstairs for dancing - the DJ was great mixing up old school and the new tunes. AsiaSF is good for a great evening, if you have the 7:30pm seating, parking is not a problem.
- Pros: Entertaining, playful ambiance
- Cons: Costs, need RSVP for large parties
Great Food & Beautiful Staff

As visitors from LA, we wanted something fun & different for dinner. We decided to check out the place, due to a SF Weekly review. The food was well beyond our expectations. We started off with the chicken satay and steak salad; both excellent starters. Our second course was the filet mignon/medium well and salmon/with endame & black rice; great delicious portions. Ending it off with the pineapple cheesecake and banana bignet-AGAIN GREAT FOOD and portion! The show had a good vibe, filled with energy, and beautiful girls. Asia-SF is filled with all-around good service, especially since we were greeted by most of their staff. We can?t wait for the Asia LA to open!!!
- Pros: Food & Friendly Staff
- Cons: Uncomfortable seating (barstools)
