In Short – This no-frills spot attracts a budget-minded bohemian crowd that can fill the large dining room to capacity. The menu features a mix of traditional Pakistani dishes, such as tandoori-cooked meats, curries and veggie staples. Naan and other breads are homemade and served hot out of the oven throughout the day.

the best fast food indian in town

by monkies at Citysearch

I used to think naan and curry was the best 'fast food' type indian, but this place is blowing me away. I went there a few years ago and wasn't impressed, but I think they streamlined the menu to a select few items now. The saag paneer is simply the BEST i have EVER had. Hands down, compared to tons of eateries both cheap and expensive (and Michelin starred). Haven't had everything on the menu, but solid grub on the fast and cheap. I still think the shrimp biryani at naan and curry is the best because they put the shrimp in the tandoor and give you a ton.

  • Pros: tasty quick indian
  • Cons: it's a dingy place, but you're not there for a hot date

eh..... bad customer service outweighs moderately tasty

by yagmuri779 at Citysearch

Alright so the naan is fabulous and the tikka masala is somewhat tasty in comparison to Pakistan, but overall it is not much. I went yesterday night and the setting makes you think of an undersized bare hallway and the service is hardly worth mentioning. It is easy to see how it is only crowded in prime hours.

I was reading some of the reviews, and unfortunately I disagree with one comment that both the two brothers working there are hot. I saw one tall one who was yes, with lighter skin, but that was it. My group of girlfriends at the time had to agree with me. Its good food for the most part.

  • Pros: naan
  • Cons: service

Rockin Lamb Chops

by lahoria89 at Citysearch

This is definetly the place to go if you want some good meat or even some vegetables. I went with a group of 4 people, and we ordered 2 chops, the sabzi(mix vegetables), and the chicken tikka masala. The lamb chops were done perfect, tender and everything with just the right amount of salt. The sabzi had all the right vegetables, and the tikka masala is the best i've ever had, and i've had a lot of tikka masala. Believe me, this is the place to go! Why're you still here? GOOO already. lol

  • Pros: The food is great, and the two young brothers that work there are hot.
  • Cons: PARKING

Overrated

We'd gone to Pakwan today. We'd ordered Paneer Tikka Masala and the day's special Potato/Eggplant. I have to say that this is one of the worst places I've been to for food. The paneer was stale and the only thing in the gravy was cream and salt. The special was pretty darn tasteless as well. And oily.

One star for the garlic naan which was ok.

  • Pros: Easy seating, convenient location
  • Cons: Food
