In Short
This charming, old-fashioned boutique property has gone to great lengths to keep up with modern hotels, including the addition of private baths. The location is within a mile of Union Square, near the Furniture Mart, Symphony Davies Hall and Civic Center Auditorium. Each of the 36 rooms reflects a European influence. Accents include fresh flowers, lace curtains and bistro-style tables and chairs.

What I most like about this hotel is that it's close to Union Square. The hotel is awesome and the staff is knowledgeable about the surrounding area. I would recommend them.

centrally located between the Castro and SOMA its near everything, the rooms are tiny, no smoking, no heat, clean, rikety elevator but it works, make sure your room has a private bath, the do have rooms with shared baths and water closets, for the money the room is great if your used to getting a mint on your pillow this is not the place for you. If you want to hang your hat in a safe, clean, CHEAP room centrally located to everything including the bars and shopping you'll enjoy your stay, rooms also have double paned glass to keep out street noise of Market st. I would stay again for the money, couple might be in for a tight squeeze my room did not have a closet only three drawers under the tv, traveling alone, where money is concerned in a very expensive city youll be in the right place here

My husband and I are being relocated to San Francisco and we spend a week here before we move into our new apartment. We liked the standard room we stayed at, but manager upgraded us to the beautiful spacious deluxe suite on my Birthday. Staff is great, I would recommend this hotel to everyone: inexpensive price, great location(I work in financial district, buses and F trolley stops right at hotel entrance). An inexpensive Thai restaurant on first floor, another high class restaurant next door where I celebrated my Birthday. We had a good time staying here.
