Editorial Review for Biscuits and Blues – by Tom Geck
In Short
With clear sound and an intimate setting, Biscuits and Blues is a great spot to see high-quality blues artists (local and touring). In front of the stage, candles are lit atop cocktail tables; booths reside in raised areas along the walls. Formerly the Improv comedy club, servers still wind their way through the tables during the show.

We had to a pay a $20 cover charge to see a mediocre band. The entire evening was way overpriced. The waitresses were "Drink Nazis" with the 2 drink minimum (10 dollars each) I tried the crab cakes because someone suggested them. They were way smail! For 20 dollars I got 2 tiny crab cakes that were no more than 2 bites each We left early without watching the band finish their set.

The show was amazing and our seats/table was perfect. However, it took about 30 minutes to get a drink and we didn't get our food until the show was over! We had 7 people and they didn't bring out the order for one person. The owner of the restaurant actually asked the patron if he was sure he ordered something and then said "well you'll have to wait then". No apology. We asked for a discount on our order and he said "you don't come here for a discount, you come here for good food". He was so rude and I couldn't believe as the owner he had such little care in his customers. I live in San Francisco and while I enjoyed the show (and food once we got it), I'll never go back.
Pros: Great music and food
Cons: Rude owner, slow service
