A Great Find - Highly Recommended. We came from Austin, Texas and stayed at the Donatello Hotel and was very pleased. No complaints. We dined at Zingari and it was just what you would expect. With all the restaurants in the area, it was a good choice. This way, we could listen to live music and stay as long as we wanted, and not have to drive before retiring for the night. No complaints, the food was superb.

I've been going there for years.... I have been dining at Zingari for years, and was offended personally when I read some of the insane reviews. People look to reviews and I understand that, but I've never thought of actually writing one myself. Some people are so caught up in their own worlds and expect everyone else around them to cater to them. They don't understand that a five-star restaurant such as Zingari gets busy, and when there are other people, then there is a waiting list. Zingari has been packed almost every night as long as I can remember. I have never understood when other people would give the wait staff a bad time, and I don't understand a lot of these reviews. The food has consistently been wonderful, I've never had a problem with their service, and have always looked forward to who they have playing for entertainment. My advice to those looking for a nice place to dine is to sit back, relax, and just enjoy. Zingari is a wonderful place to dine.

Definitely a Five-Star Restaurant!!!. This is definitely a five-star italian ristorante. I have no idea what these other people are thinking by complaining, unless they are snobs. Of course a restaurant like this is busy, everyone wants to eat at such a nice place and listen to live music. I love this place and would highly recommend it. If it takes a few extra minutes to get your food or drinks, it's because they're busy. Make reservations for a less busy time if you want, but don't expect the chef or bartender to drop everything for you if he or she has five orders ahead of you. Don't read what they have to say, judge for yourself and enjoy the higher rated reviews that focus on the positive things about this restaurant that you will love!

This place is the best!!!. This is a popular restaurant and can be very busy. When we go there, we are sure to make reservations to get in early, especially on Thursday, Friday and Saturday. As busy as it can be, the service always surpasses my expectations. The entertainment is nice while you're waiting for your food, so I really like taking my wife to this place for a romantic meal. I can't say that about many restaurants, so I thought I'd leave a review of this one since it's my wife's favorite. That, by the way, is a good tip for those of you who want to treat your wife or girlfriend to something special. There is always live jazz, and the food and wine won't ever let you down.

Fantastic Place for a Party. If you love jazz and italian food, then you will love this restaurant. My family made reservations to celebrate my birthday since those are the two of my favorite things in the world when relaxing, in addition to good company. The night ended up being one of the best birthday dinners I've ever had. The food was superb, the service was excellent, although it was a very busy night for Zingari, my family really enjoyed it. Everyone was delighted with their choices and the live entertainment. Thank you, Zingari, for making this an exceptional night... since it was my 50th birthday, I guess I kind'a needed something a little more special to bring it on.

Best Italian in San Francisco. Best Northern Italian I've had in a long time. Loved the jazz, the wine, and the company. My friend has been trying to get me to come and visit so that she could take me to this restaurant for a long time and now I see why. This is a must visit place in San Francisco, and it is very conveniently located to where you don't need to worry about drinking and driving. Plan on having an awesome evening with excellent service, food and entertainment.

Excellent Northern Italian Food - Highly Recommended. My wife really wanted to enjoy some live jazz, and in searching around the San Francisco area, we found Zingari. What a night. The jazz was so relaxing to listen to, that we stayed for a long time and had dinner. It may as well have been Valentine's Day. I don't know if we'll be able to find a restaurant to top our experience last night for Valentine's Day so, if not, then this one will have to do. We will come back again and again to enjoy some more of this fine food. We love Italian and are always searching for the best Northern Italian food ristorantes, and this one is one of the best we've tried so far. My wife had the salmon and I enjoyed your linguini special and it was fantastic. The wine selection was very nice and we couldn't make up our minds for a good while, and was so happy with the wine my wife selected, we ended up ordering two bottles and taking a taxi.

Great Wine, dinner and Tiramisu. Excellent wine, great appetizer and dinner menu, and legit Tiramisu. Try it for yourself!

Simple and clean. Very good food, the pizza with lots of olives and the variety of 1950 wines. Recommend it! My favorite was the thick crust pizza with pepperonis, tomatoes, pineapples and of course the quick melt cheese..

Great Food, Great Customer Service. Zingari Ristorante is definitely one of my favorite restaurants in San Francisco, not only the food is great, the customer service is excellent. You get to be treated special by the owner himself. The menu selection is awesome. The restaurant itself is located in the heart of the city, close to tourist spots and walking distance to beautiful hotels and shopping stores. It is a must to visit, when you are in the "city by the bay".
