Serious home cooking arrives in the form of sweet potato pancakes, fried chicken, grits and hush puppies. No-nonsense servers are friendly and keep the coffee coming, just the way this bleary eyed brunch crowd likes it.

This is one of my favorite restaurants in san francisco. The staff is friendly, and the food is ligit and good. If you like southern food, then you don't need to go much farther than this place. It offers what i think to be the best fried chicken in San Francisco, and best breakfast. Since it is only open until 2:30 p.m., I recommend getting there early. Sometimes the wait can be a bummer, but its definitely worth it.
