Yummy.. Delicious Italian food in a relaxed welcoming atmoshpere. The fusili and the peto are my favorites, but everything is good. I have been eating here for years and it has always been good. When I don't have time to sit and eat I call my order in and it is ready in minutes for pick up. The prices are fabulous and they serve large portions. They can fill up at dinner time, especially when the opera (etc...) is on, I think that they take reservations. Check them out, you will be happy.

Italian cafe serves large array of affordable, hearty pastas and thin-crust pizzas in the heart of Hayes Valley.. In Short
Faux green vines and shelves crowded with Italian wines and pantry goods line the buttery yellow walls of this quaint trattoria. Two small dining rooms with hardwood floors and red checker-clothed tables accommodate a steady stream of neighborhood locals who slurp spaghetti with pesto sauce or share a signature Stelline pizza topped with anchovies and black olives. A basket of house-made, parmesan-covered garlic bread is served with all entrees at both lunch and dinner.

Osso bucco, Oh, so good!. I love Stelline! The food is delicious and flavorful. I've had both lunch and dinner here. The prices are reasonable, the ambience casual, and it's right smack in the center of my favorite valley, Hayes. I highly recommend the osso bucco and the peto (pasta always cooked al dente). Make sure to come early for dinner as it gets crowded. If you want simple italian dining that is not pricey nor pretentious, try Stelline. You'll like.

Okay for a pre-theater dinner. This place is inexpensive and the food is fine, but it's not what I'd call a destination place. Cannelloni with spinach is very good. The dessert menu could use a couple more choices.
