view & uploadnice place. I stumbled into this place while staying in the hotel next door. Small but cozy, there was a line but it went by pretty quick. And long lines for me usually mean a good spot for me. We had break fast, my friend had an omlete
Terrible Services....
My boyfriend and I heard that this place was good so we decided to check it out. We were seated promptly but our experience went downhill from there. The food is not very good. It'll make you want to sit on the toilet for awhile... greasy, too cheesy, just plain bleh. It took us 30 minutes to get our bill after we were finished eating and it took 15 minutes after that just for her to notice the payment. Not once did our waitress check back in with us. Really poor service and not very friendly. I wouldn't go back and/or suggest anyone to try this place.
Denny's is better...
Tasty omlettes and french toast. Great Service!. The restaurant is small but cozy - and the waitress immediately took our order. The "meat lover omlette" was loaded with tasty protein and the OJ tasted incredibly fresh. Service was above average, and we managed to be in and out within 45 minutes. Conveniently located in Union Square. Highly recommended!
Great customer service and wonderful food. Very friendly staff and extremely short wait despite long line. Was seated very fast and had my meal within no time at all. For a quaint local resteraunt it definitely does not dissapoint. Highly recommended enlieu of any franchised breakfast resteraunt
Not worth the trip.. I've been there twice now with my girlfriend, and both times I was very unimpressed. We had heard all of the great reviews about this place, and were expecting something amazing. But no. The service was non existant; The waitress came up to our table before we were ready to order and simply stood there, and never once came back to refill my water or check on us. The food is average at best, the chicken apple sausages are not very good, and the specials hardly change. We decided to read several reviews to see why people think this place is so great, but we still stand by our original ranking. Personally, I think Taylor St. cafe isn't in the same class as the Pork Store or Dottie's Cafe.

We were so impressed by this place! The food was excellent (try pancakes, belgian waffle and fruit ), the service was nice and efficient, the decor was fun and quirky, and the price very reasonable. You should definitely go!
YUMMY food, great service
One of the best traditional Breakfast spots in the city. This is a nice traditional American Breakfast spot, the food was great and service was very attentive. I would definately go back and will recommend it to my friends
the most satisfying breakfast. you can skip the lunch. Some of the most delicious, well prepared starting meals I've ever had. I had the Southern Scramble. My girl had the Italian Delight omelette. Wow!!!!!!!!!!!. Very original and well cooked. Hash was golden crispy perfection. Fruit were excellent. Highly recommended.
Rubbery pancakes....I could have made a better breakfast at home in 10 minutes. The strawberries and banana and grapes were ok, but melons were unripe and hard. Pancakes were rubbery and terrible. Coffee was so-so. The saving grace was the delicious fresh squeezed OJ. It was tasty. Overall, you can practically go ANYWHERE else in San Francisco and get a better breakfast.
best fresh fruit!~.
i'm so glad that i had a good fortune of going to this place during my visit to SF!!!
if i lived in SF this would be my #1 breakfast place of all time
everything was so good! especially the fresh fruit platter was awesome
i'm a big fruit person and this is by far the best place that had both the quality and the quantity
