Get past the seedy locale!. While staying at the nearby Ramada Plaza we were almost put off by the need to pass by all the unfortunates on Market to get to this pleasant surprise on McAllister. The food was quite good, but I think it was the relaxing atmosphere of the place and the prompt service that made it such a nice dining experience. Reasonable prices too!

Perfect pre-theatre dinner spot. This is a great spot for dinner before a play at the Orpheum...delicious Thai, and nice looking restaurant as well.

The Best Thai Food in SF!. I love Lalita Distinctive Thai! The food was very delicious and the atmosphere was incredible. The people were friendly and I enjoyed the entire experience tremendously. I definitely recommend Lalita's to everyone. The salmon was divine. Lalita's is the type of restaurant that you could keep coming back to for great food and great service.

Food to die for!. When in San Francisco, Lalita's is a must for the most wonderful food on earth. From mild to extra spicy, the flavors are exquisite and portions just right. I live in Vancouver, WA and travel to SFO at least monthly. No trip is complete without at least one meal at Lalita's. My favorites are Cashew Chicken, Coconut Chicken Soup (Tom Ka Gai) and Meing Kum.

Great food, good people, excellent service and reasonable prices. I can hardly wait for my next trip!

Best in Town. Delicious food. Great people. This restaurant is the standard. I can't say enough about it. And try the Sea Bass.

Enjoy the Heat......... Lalita's cozy, fun atmosphere, Thai food prepared just the way you order it from mild to wild. Thai style at its best. We have sent numerous friends and associates and they have all returned many times. I live in Phoenix and visit S.F monthly wouldn't think of not having dinner at Lalita's at least once every trip. With out a doubt a GUARANTEED evening of fine Thai food in a friendly welcome home atmosphere..try it you won't be disappointed

A Place For Everyone. Lalita's is an excellent place to take clients, friends, and family. Most of the people I've introduced to this wonderful restaurant have gone back numerous times. The out of towners usually insist on going back. And why not? The food is incredibly tasty, whether due to the crispness of the basil, the tanginess of the lemongrass, or the sweetness of the coconut; the ambience is sultry as it is in Thailand; the service is courteous and friendly as the Thai people typically are; and the value is more than adequate for the portions served. Want to spice it up? All you need to do is ask! Bang! Bang! Bang!

Great Atmosphere, Avaerage Food. I was expecting more given the reviews others had posted here. It was a decent place to eat, but not a 10. The food was average, not great. The prices were very good ranging between $10 - $17 for entrees. The food was somewhat bland compared to what I'd expect of Thai food. Great crab & cream cheese appetizer (smilar to crab rangoon). If you really like Thai food, you might want to check this place out.
