A Must-Eat!. It was my mom's birthday and we didn't know what to order here at Lalita's. The owners recommended us their FINE lambchops with noodles, grilled rib-eyed steak with steamed vegetables, and grilled basil salmon with steamed vegetables. They were perfect to the taste. The absolute best, which is why im going to hold my birthday party there. Their appetizers? like you just tasted heaven with sweet& sour sauce. angel wings, fish cakes& crispy shrimp rolls. Their atmosphere and environment suits well for basically any event. It's definitely one of the best Thai restaurants out there which is why everyone who visits San Francisco or just simply lives here should go!

Great Hapy Hour!!!. Lalita not only has great entree's like Basil Chicken Fried Rice, but the drinks and appetizers are awesome. I suggest going during Happy Hour on weekdays from 3-6 p.m. I've been a few times over the past few weeks and have been served by the same bartender who was absolutely delightful. The appetizers and drinks are amazingly priced during this time and I reccomend the chicken satay and shrimp rolls. The atmosphere is very chic as well and I would reccomend this place to anyone.

basil chicken wings are the best. My friend and I got off work late one night, and I was so grateful that she knew of such a good thai restaurant that was still open at 9PM (only con is that it is in the civic center area which gets seedy after dark). The basil chicken wings were very tasty with the fried basil melting in your mouth. I also liked the spicy basil rice noodles. The restaurant also has a quirky tropical decor; they call themselves a "thai noodle house and island bar."

I went back with another friend a second time before visiting the Asian Art Museum and sat in the tatami. However, although we were only one of two tables (it was only 5PM), our food took a while. We ordered the same dishes plus fried banana and ice cream.

Great Thai cooked to order!!!. So thrilled with Lalita's! A spacious, nicely decorated restaurant, we were promptly seated and greeted with a cucumber soup!!! Get the lunch special...spring rolls and fried yams as well as an entree for $7.95! On top of that, it was delicious!!!

Editorial Review. Sweeping Thai bar and restaurant attracts Civic Center crowd with generous lunch specials and exotic after-work drinks.

Absolutely wonderful!. I love this place. The food is delicious, the ambiance is relaxing and chill, service is excellent and the price is definitely affordable. Can't say enough good things about this place. My friend and I come here about once a week. Lunchtime is never that busy and you are seated promptly. Also, between the two of us, we only pay about $10 each. Thats is definitely something if you're eating in San Francisco, where nothing is less than $20 bucks per person.

My fav restaurant in the ENTIRE city!. I'm so fortunate my boyfriend attends law school at Hastings or I would've never discovered this wonderful restuarant. Get the pre fixe its only $20 for app, salad/soup, entre, and amazing desert. Reccomendations: Appetizers Thai beef jerky (do not miss this), Crab puffs, fabulous Chicken satay, bay shrimp salad. For entres: beef stir fry ask them to make it extra spicy, curry dishes are also very good. Desert: fried banana with mango ice cream, or coconut ice cream its to die for! Lalita herself introduced us to her signature drink: Wild Orchid, which tastes as wonderful as it sounds. The amazing food, the exotic ambiance complete with a beautiful mural of Thailand and a small pond, and the excellent service make this my favorite restaurant in the city! Oh and almost forgot ask for sticky rice (different from steamed rice) takes them four hours to make and its awesome!

Lalita's, My Favorite. Lalita's is my favorite San Francisco restaurant. PERIOD ! When I visit S.F. my first meal is always at Lalita's. I have introduced many friends to Lalitas dinning experience and have never been disappointed. Their cuisine the "Bench Mark" of Thai food.

Good Appetizers. Me and my roommate went there for dinner once. The appetizers were excellent. The main course was just ok. Nice place to sit and a decent bar. Much better than usual ambience we associate with any asian restaurant.
