A San Francisco institution, Zuni Cafe does not disappoint! Everything from the atmosphere to the service to the cocktails to the food was perfect. Even the much hyped about roast chicken was phenomenal.
The one, the only, the classic. Oysters are always on point here, as is the famous roast chicken and caesar salad.

One of my favorite spots for a late-night bite, late lunch, or weekend brunch. It's all about the oysters, Caesar salad, gnocchi, and of course the roasted chicken for two (it's spendy, but damn that chicken is superlative).
Never Disappoints. I've been to Zuni many times and it is consistently one of my favorites. I crave their roast chicken, and I have discovered some terrific wines based on staff recommendations. The wait can be long if you don't have reservations, but the bar is fabulous (if you can avoid the huffy complainers and pretentious posers.) The only negativity I have ever experienced is the attitude of fellow diners who don't quite 'get' this place. The staff has always been polite, even when busy.
Zuniversal. Funny how Zunny has become everybody's favorite restaurant to hate in San Francisco. It started out so cool, so hip, then everybody started to resent its trendiness, and now it's just sort of floating around in culinary purgatory. That's exactly why it's a nice place to go now. The Ceasar Salad is still the best in town, and all the natural light is wonderful for lunch or brunch.
