Still Seeing Stars – Las Estrellas is attached to Stellina, an Italian restaurant next door; but don't try to order both Mexican and Italian food. They just won't allow it. The food is so-so, and the waitstaff seem to find customers to be an imposition. I was thoroughly underwhelmed. Sadly, I left my hat there, meaning I'll have to go back once more; otherwise, I wouldn't touch it with a ten foot pole.
One of the worst taquerias – got the chips and "salsa" but the salsa was really just pico de gallo, diced tomatoes and onions. chips were pretty bad too. my quesadilla was quite greasy but tasted ok and the soup was below average. didnt try a burrito so cant comment on that. personally i wont be back, ive been to tons of better taquerias in the city.
Great Lunch Spot – The burritos here are out of this world -- i highly recommend the veggie and seafood. Prices are very reasonable--and how many restaurants in Hayes Valley can you say that about? I try to get there at least once a week.
