The thing that shines is the food. You have to be a bit patient to get it, as they seem to make everything fresh. The Chicken Seekh Kabab is some of the best anywhere! The regular Seekh Kabab is good, but not as good as the Chicken version. The Bangan Bartha is really good as well, but a bit on the spicy side so be careful. The Lamb Kabobs are surprising tender. Not much of beverage selection, but that is not what you're going for. The price is unbelievably low too! What's not to like?
Best Indian food outside of India - chicken tikka, fish tandoori, onion naan, okra masala, mango lassi - drool drool drool.
Wow wow wow I just cannot stop talking about this place and eating their food......took 8 of my co-workers (mostly white) to Punjab last Friday and most of them want to go back in 2 days. One of the girls said that it was one of the best moments of her life - they were thanking me for taking them there (even got some kisses)
This place is a total hidden gem - their food is amazing ...the chicken tikka masala is the best you can find in the city. The tandoori fish and chicken are both to die for.
My friend comes from Santa cruz just to eat here and boy we order a lot of food and we eat till we cannot breathe and then leave the place still drooling for more (signs of a good place). I am a food snob and this place is the only place I have written a review for.
Tonight I ordered some okra masala which is not on their menu but was a special and I am definitely going back for more.
Don't miss out !!
great food, great value. The food at Punjab is excellent, and very very affordable. Service is fast, nan is fresh - we keep going back for more. It is the number 1 place in the city for raita and salt lassi, not on the menu but will be produced on request. Wonderful!
Excellent Food. One the best joints for cheap north indian food in the city. Their garlic naan is to die for and so are the rest of the entrees. The place is clean which is a nice change from Shalimar. The food is addicting and has us going back every week.
