This afforadable lounge is a staple to visit. Once you tried it, you want to come back.

Great bartenders, affordable drinks, pool, shuffleboard, fireplace, excellent jukebox, friendly regulars and legal indoor smoking, keep you coming back.

This little gem is open 365 days a year from 6 am to 2 am. It's warm friendly enviroment draws you in. A must try.

• Pros: Legal Smoking, great prices, great bartenders
• Cons: you'll wonder why you weren't here before

Not for the younger crowd

In my hunt for a new favorite bar, I tried the Orchid Room because a review said that it was an awesome place. Well...I'm in my early 20's and went there with my friends. As soon as we walked in, people just stared at us. We were obviously outsiders. The bartenders was kinda nice, but it was obvious that we didn't belong. I'll probably go back because you can smoke in there, but if you're in your 20's and looking for a fun time, don't go to the Orchid Room.

Warm, friendly bar

This is one of the only smoking bars allowed in California. Located in downtown San Carlos, this little bar, with it's fireplace, shuffleboard, pool table and state-of-of-the-art downloadable jukebox, is warm, friendly and fun. While there is no entertainment per say, the crowd is a mix of daytime regulars mixing into the young locals at night. Great bartenders (I happen to be one) and location this is the place to have an afterwork drink or end a fun evening.
