a local loves this restaurant. With King Chuan, l don't "order Chinese," I go there for Black Mushrooms with Tender Greens and the freshly made vegetable pot stickers. Heck, I would make the trip just for the Hot and Sour Soup.

Living in San Carlos, I have eaten at King Chuan many times. The food is consistently delicious so much so that even as a vegan I have found a restaurant capable of keeping the dining experience interesting.

If I let me three kids write about how they like King Chuan, we would have to link to their facebook pages.

I will be at King Chuan soon again and there is a good chance I will order Black Mushrooms with Tender Greens. yum.

KING CHUAN IS UNDER NEW MANAGEMENT!!!. & thank goodness it is!! it used to be a restaurant to avoid. however now it has become a place you must try! the service is impeccable and the food is drool worthy...try the wonton soup its amazing!!! To anyone that has written king chuan off as crappy chinese food needs to take the opportunity to give it one more try... I know and Love chinese food! and this place has GOOOD chinese food.

(not to mention the current owner is very gracious and quite friendly..unlike the previous owner.)

Horrible Service! Absolutely Rude!. Never in my life been treated so horrible as a customer before! 30 minutes to closing and the manager still seated us. if it was okay, then why did the manager toss our plates and cups on the table, like a dealer? When asked if it was okay for us to eat, he forced a smile and said, "oh sure!" then why throw the napkins down? we never said or did anything to provoke such attitude. we felt unwanted. the manager insisted once we said we'd do them a favor and order TO GO. Afraid of no tip maybe? We left and ordered TO GO next door at San Remos' (Recommended!). Received a free dessert too! So bottomline: King Chuan has no sense of customer service and rude in every sense. Don't attempt to give these guys your money to eat their food! They do not deserve your business!

Always good food. Very good local Chinese restaurant in downtown San Carlos. Highly recommend this place to friends. Consistantly good food. Henry always has a big smile for the customers!
