I love this Max's!!!!!!!. I have been to the Max's Opera Cafe in San Francisco numerous times and a Max's Restaurant in Santa Clara. I have to say of all the Max's this is by far the best. The ambiance is great whether you are on a date or with the kids. The wait is short no matter what time you go to eat and the servers are all very friendly. Portions here are unbelievable big. This restaurant is a great value considering you get enough food for two meals. Highly recommend the Mediterranean chicken, the chicken pot pie, the mile-high carrot cake, Max's fantasy torte, the 7 layer cookie, ANY of the salads, and the raisin bread that usually comes with dinner. This place is the best!

I did try the honey rotisserie chicken and it did absolutely nothing for me. Likewise the Light Chinese Chicken Salad is lacking much flavor.

Big Portions & Yummy. Always great food and a fun place to take out-of-town guests to! The Reuben sandwiches are exceptional and be sure to ask for pesto mayonnaise on it. The menu portions of everything here are big, so be prepared to take some home. This way you'll have room for any of their fabulous desserts. We especially like their NY cheesecake and huge macaroons (plain or dipped in chocolate).
