i love bucks. i am there every sun morning. the food is great an if you call ahead you dont have to wait like everyone else.this place has been around forever and they still live up to their rep as being a great place to eat, and show off your hot new aston martin.

• Pros: great food, friendly staff
• Cons: too many cyclists riding around acting like olympians

Didn't live up to it's hype and good reviews.

Yesterday Friend and I tried Buck's. Buck's is highly praised for their breakfast & was featured on Bay Area Backroads. At 9am the place was nearly full but we got a table right away. Service sucked. Friend asked for a glass of milk twice. It took forever & the waitress went in and out of the kitchen a few times before she finally came over & asked "You didn't get it yet?" It took a while for her to come back & before she returned someone else brought the milk. A minute later she came with the milk. Hector ordered the banana pecan pancakes, which were extremely dry. I ordered the Woodsider omlet, which was bland, potatoes were nearly burned, & toast was cheap bread. Go to Stacks instead, which is always excellent even if you have to wait for a table.

Great ecletic American

Buck's is everything I want in an American restaurant (other than price). It has a woodsy, mountain home feel with a cute rather than trite feel. The menu is varied with the American dishes being the best. Service is friendly and efficeint.

The wait staff have a cheerful, gabby nature. I think it is perfect. People who just want to eat good food and get out may be annoyed. (But that is their problem, I like to enjoy my meal and good, friendly service is a huge part of that enjoyment.)
