Butano State Park is a 3,200-acre redwood preserve deep in the Santa Cruz Mountains, along the scenic and rugged coastal highway that runs from San Francisco, down the Pacific coast. It offers excellent hiking through the redwood groves. Only three miles from the coast, the park's trails offer views of the ocean. Campsites for tents or trailer/RVs come with fire rings/grills, but do not have hookups.
