Terrible service and mediocre food.. I have ordered from Viva Italiano numerous times. This time was the final straw. Of the 8 or so times I've ordered from them 3 orders were received cold. This time, the order was not only cold, but took nearly 2 hours to be delivered. On top of that, when I called to report that I refused the cold food the manager was rude and only slightly apologetic using the Super Bowl as an excuse.

And all this for mediocre food.

yumminess. OMG! I can't really say because I worked at viva for so long. 4 years to be exact, but today I ordered for delivery and it was the bomb! hit the spot for sure. I ordered angel hair aioli and added shrimp for a few bucks extra and mmmmmm was it good. I've always liked Viva's food before working there, during, and after. I'm a loyal customer and always will be. last time i ordered my beef lasagna was very salty but that's ok because it was still the bomb. no place is perfect i don't care how perfect you say you are. my girls that still work there are darling and the cook is a chef at heart. the driver was new and very polite. i was very satisfied today like always. I'm not a big delivery fan because i hate the way food tastes from a box but whatever when you're hungry everything is srumpdiliumtious. yeah that's right. i don't even know how to spell that. i used to have viva everyday and never got tired of it especially now when it's so rare. thanks for the greatness today and everyday VIVA! I love you!

Cant get No Satisfaction. This was by far the worst experience i have ever had with any restaurant ever. The girl who took my order was very friendly, but upon receiving my order everything went sour. My lasagna was spilt all through the paper bag which inevitably leaked sauce all over my floor. The foil that the bread was wrapped in was also covered in sauce as well. There was cheese and sauce all in the bag and i couldnt even lift up the container without getting any sauce on my hands.

I called the restaurant in hopes of resolving this matter, but achieved to satisfaction. WHomever i spoke with was extremely rude and refused to replace my food and repeatedly blame the entire circumstance on me. He accused me of dropping my food and said thats why it was spilt. He consulted the cook and driver who (of course) told him that nothing was wrong upon delivery. So overall i was called a liar and delivered terrible food. The man i spoke with said he rather lose a customer and would take the drivers word over anyone elses seeing as how he was worked there for 5 years. Does he not know this is the real world and people lie to keep their jobs. I guess thats what customer service has come down to these days, calling your customer a liar and offering to take food back and give a refund and instead of replacing it to make a customer happy. I will never order from VIVA ITALIANO AGAIN!!!

Hidden treasure. I can't believe that anyone would bad mouth Viva Italiano! As a born and raised coaster I can honestly say you can not find a better place to buy a pie! It is one of the hidden pleasures of the Coastal area. Great food, fantastic service and definitely one of the top hidden food places on the coast. Prices are reasonable and the food good.

Good Food at a Good Price. C'mon. I can't believe people are giving out one star ratings for this place. Is it the crem de la crem? No. But it is good pizza at a good price with decent ambience as well. I've been going here on and off since I was a kid and it is fine for a reasonably priced, no frills meal. If you don't feel like cooking and want to grab some fresh pizza check it out. Sure beats the pants off of most pizza chains (with the exception of Rounf Table) and is much much better than Taco Smell or McDees.

Could be better, but it's not bad. I have to admit that I usually come with the $10 coupon offer and I call in advance and then come pick up the pizza. It's usually ready when I arrive or shortly. A little known secret might be that these coupons are so ubiquitous that you don't even need the coupon as they are usually available at the register.

But I have eaten here dining in. Not too bad and not too pricey, but I won't say it's great. The service is medium quality and some times makes me wonder if there's a boss or owner at all, because I've seen the ladies hanging around conversing instead of serving and I don't think anyone would do that if there were an owner around.

YUCK!. I ate from here last night. What a waste of money. The service is sooooooo slow and the food is lousy. Pacifica needs more good restaurants. The pizza is two inches thick and flavorless. I prefer a chain restaurant to this.

Don't waste your money.

Don't be Lured by coupon offers. Viva Italiano distributes menus with coupons throughout town. However, they won't exactly honor the offer on the coupon. There is one coupon for a $10.00 pizza on pick-up only which is a good value. But beware, the other coupons make the restaurant appear to be a good value, but when we tried to dine in, the staff posts a sign and states the offers will not be honored for dining in. This is fine if you planned a take home meal. However, like many of us who travel, dining out with friends or family is a necessity, unless you want to eat in your hotel room.

Keep in mind you are near the ocean, so forget the coupons meant to draw you in, because at this restaurants regular prices, why not treat yourself to a finer dining experience. Just 2 miles south you will find restaurants overlooking the ocean, a more relaxing environment, on some evenings even live music and dancing; for the price of probably around $3 more per person. You at lease owe it to yourself to drive by and compare the difference.

I used to be a regular patron of Viva, but after recent experiences and a lack of response from the manager/owner, I have never returned. I have never had a bad experience at the restaurants on Rockaway Beach. After all, isn't this what these forums are about, finding recommended restaurants and avoiding others.

Have a great visit in the bay area.

Excellent Italian. This is a great neighbrohood Italian restaurant. The food is great, I have never had anything bad here. Their pizzas are some of the best I have ever had. And unlike the "bar" next door, they have a few beers on tap. I highly recommend this place if you are anywhere near Pacifica.

Good food, lousy service. The food at Viva Italiano is good and the menu is extensive. The only two downfalls are that the service is very lackluster and there are tiny gnats that seem to be attracted to red wine flying around.
