Strange Restaurant. The food was a little better than average. Some of Tam's dishes are quite good and some of the dishes are not so good. I'm not sure why the inconsistency in food quality exists.

The managerial/host like person (we didn't get his name) has a "passive-aggressive" attitude. His "bad" attitude makes us not want to give return business. We're going to give this restaurant a third attempt to see if this mgr/host's attitude improves???

Try It; You'll Probably Like It!. I have been to Chinatown, and Tam's is just as good if not better! The Szechuan Chicken was outstanding. I ate there alone for lunch, but I'd love to go back with a group and try lots of things.

Never, ever make a mistake of coming here!!!. This is by far the worst chinese food ever. My boyfriend & I tried this place due to the rave reviews & got so disappointed and made me soooo very mad. People who don't know what chinese food should not be allowed to write reviews. Go to Chinatown and learn what Chinese food should taste like!

This is by far my all time favorite Chinese food. Tam's has got to be the best tasting Chinese cuisine I have ever had. I have tried many other restaurants and nothing compares to Tam's. The service is fast and the food comes in large abundance-quickly, steaming hot and delicious. This is the place where my family meets for most all special occasions. If you haven't tried Tam's you should make it a point to get there. You will not be dissappointed.

so bad!. The ambiance in this place is like an empty concert hall, cold and loud! Everyone was wearing jackets, it was very cold insided.

If you like starring at crammed animals in a filthy fish tank, this is the place for you.

The food was tasteless and overpriced.

The service was the only thing to go back for.

The Best Chinese Food. The food at Tams is not only the best tasting chinese food I have ever eaten, it is also tastes extremely fresh. It is a family owned business, and the Tams are a pleasure to have in our community. The portions are large, and if you go in for a meal, you always always have left overs. I highly recommend it. It is also right off the freeway so you can order out, pick it up and jump right back on the Freeway, which makes for great convience. Try Tams you won't be disappointed. We eat there weekly.

Tam's Chinese is the BEST!. I've been a customer of Tam's for about 11 years now. I've eaten in San Francisco (lived there for 7 years) and on the Peninsula and I've found none that meet the freshness, quality and value of Tam's Cuisine. The prices are a bit higher than the hole in the wall hinese restaurants, but it is quickly apparent why: high quality ingredients! Their food is consistently excellent. Their service is outstanding. It is a family owned restaurant in Pacifica, and the friendliness of their owners and staff makes me feel welcome every time I visit them. I've become a take-out fanatic, stopping at Tam's weekly. Try their hot/sour soup, won ton soup, shrimp fried rice, broccoli beef (yum!), and the Ming beef (sweet and tangy). Definitely fresh! Definitely worth it!

Great food, great service. Tam's offers really good, fresh food with large portions. When we order take out the portions hardly fit into a regular size chines take out box. Some say it is a bit pricey, but when you see how much food you are getting and teh quality then it's about right. One one entree and one starter is required for a dinner for two.

Great Food.... Tam's is a great chinese restaurant. The food is very flavorful and always fresh. The only downfall to Tam's is the prices. Dinner for two can end up costing $40. I have found a way around that though. When I am really craving Tam's I go there for lunch, it is an unbelievable bargain.

Great Food - Great Service. We were very excited to discover Tam's in Pacifica. Although a bit more expensive than the restaurants in SF or Oakland Chinatowns, the food at Tam's is always fresh and served in huge portions. In a time where service can often be overlooked, Tam's high level of service matches the food. When calling for take-out, if you have special preferences (less oil, low salt, etc.), the information is kept in a database, so they remember each time!
