These waitresses can tell a Kumamoto from a Malpeque at 20 paces..
The Food
They may not be able to discern a Blue Point from a Wellfleet without guzzling a couple, but these ladies know oysters. And owners Fred and Kristen Duckett know their seafood. The menu is broad and enticing with items like Red Curry Seared Scallops and Prawns served with braised greens, wild and jasmine rice blend, curry cream sauce, coconut, and pecans ($19.75); Aussie Rack of Lamb char-broiled, with balsamic vinegar and mint reduction; Pan-seared Pacific Red Snapper served in lobster and shrimp sauce ($12.50). They also offer pastas, risottos, seafood stews, and prime Midwestern beef.
The Scene
The decor pays clear homage to Maine, with a high beamed ceiling, lots of light and poster-sized photos of Maine seaport scenes and fishing boats. That means Maine lobster, linguini with clams and other glorious New England staples. Only the desserts need a little work.
