Excellent food & service

My wife and I tried this place out this weekend, and enjoyed it. The menu selection is limited and seafood is their specialty. We tried the frito misto as an appetizer, the cod and skate for dinner. Everything was very well done and yummy. The portions were small so we both had desserts - bread pudding and spice/pear cake. Both were good, not too sweet, maybe a bit on the light side but still good. Service was outstanding. The restaurant is right on the CalTrain line, and it's a bit noisy when a train goes by, but this was no big deal. It's not cheap; this ran us $90 with tip (no alcohol).

Nice... but going to return

This was a nice restuarant and it had a nice feel to it. My boyfriend was in sweats and a t-shirt and they still treated us very kindly. The menu options were not very interesting and did not blow me away.

I had the tuna and did not like it. What I did like was the appetizer of calamari... or was that in another restuarant.

This was a cool place, but I would not return. Really small. I did not feel as crowded as earlier posts declared. The train passed by one when we were there and it only sounded like a harsh wind, nothing more.

About as perfect as it gets

Pisces is an exception to the suburban norm - and within walking distance to boot! Food was divine, especially the small raviolis in broth. The monkfish was perfectly roasted and austerely but elegantly served. Portions are small, as befits a French restaurant (more taste, less quantity). Desserts and cheese plate were indescribably good. Don't know why previous post didn't like service: it was impeccable despite the fact I was in jeans and husband had on a plaid shirt from Mervyns. Worth every penny.
