Lousy food.
We tried appitizers, salad, entree, etc. All was terrible. I had the blackened Catfish and all I could taste was char. No flavor!!! The stuffed mushrooms were mediocre at best. To finish off the night, we had the coffee. Folgers instant would have been better. I would rather have had 7-11 coffee, at least it would have tasted better.
The service was great and you can't beat the view, but FIRE THE CHEF!!! Food quality, I would have had a better meal at McDonald's!!
I'll never go back!! Stay away!!!
Not Impressed. First of all, the directions given by the website were wrong and we had to find the place by default. We were seated promptly, and the service was great as was the view. Although the portions were more than ample, we all felt that our three pasta dishes lacked flavor. We also had to wait 20 minutes to receive our meals even though the restaurant didn't seem busy. Overall, we were not too impressed with the meals and probably will not return.
Great Classic Recipes. After reading some reviews on this site we decided to give it a try. The only complaint I had was on the service. Our waitress wouldn't crack a smile for a million bucks! She was just lacking in any sort of friendly personality. So in a way, it killed the ambience of the place and our mood...just a little. But the food was great. Definitely be sure to listen to the waitress when she says the specials! And go early for a great seat by the windows.
Great food and service. I have driven by this place many times and have finally on a recommendation stopped in. This place does not dissapoint. It was great. If you like steak or seafood, old world class, this is definately a great place to check out.
Great Food On The Hill. The great food and huge portions make this a terrific restaurant. Add to that the amazing view of the bay and the good service and you can see why this place is always so busy.
Old school. This is a fun, funky old school place. The portions are very generous -- the prime rib, while not the best I've had, certainly was HUGE. Appetizers and sides were also big, so bring your appetite. Decent food and service but nothing special.
the best chops ever. The service was great, food outstanding. And what a view upstairs.
