Those with a Parisian craving for a traditional gluten-free French buckwheat crêpes made with organic ingredients are in ooh la la luck. Named after the bustling Paris neighborhood full of intellectuals, writers and artists, not unlike the similarly vibrant city of San Francisco, Creperie Saint Germaine was created to offer healthy made-to-order crepes with French street food roots. You’ll find both traditional and innovative sweet and savory varieties, from the original Sugar Crêpe with lemon, butter or cinnamon to the Braised Beef Crêpe with avocado, jalepeño, cheese, tomato and green onion. New crêpe combinations and flavors are added to the menu on a seasonal basis, along with monthly-changing specials. Although CSG’s roots originated in France, it’s all about a focus on supporting local businesses partnering with companies to source the ingredients for its menu, including Humphry Slocombe for ice cream and Guisto’s for its buckwheat and brown rice flour.
