I have been to Chestnut automotive several times. My first visit was a few months ago when there was a grinding sound with my brakes and it was beginning to worry me. So I called Shop up that morning and asked if I could drop it off while I went to the game that day- so he said sure, they did a vehicle inspection and called me while I was at the game with good news and an easy, inexpensive fix. He also gave me a very plausible explanation for the grinding noise I was hearing and assured me that my braking mechanism was fine. Seems that my last replacement, the shop didn't use authentic Nissan parts and as a result, this grinding noise/feeling happens. I'm not due for new brakes, but Shop gave me an idea of the cost involved when I eventually do need brakes and told me they would get the Nissan parts to do it when the time comes.

My second visit was to repair a tire- thought I was having a slow leak and yes, after a summer full of contractors at our area for various projects I did have a nail in one tire. I waited in the waiting room while they repaired the tire. Again, easy, painless and inexpensive.

I am new to CA and my radiator when out on a Saturday in the late afternoon. The guy in the tow truck recommeded them. We drove there at 5pm, and they fixed it on the spot. Then a week later I called at the last minute for an oil change and, again, they said, "Bring it in". It was changed in 30 minutes. Amazing! They are my new and only automotive shop.

I took my car to Chestnut Automotive for a complete tune up and timing belt replacement. I really appreciate the customer service I received. The owner, Chris, first gave me a great deal and went out of his way to make sure I was happy. In fact, I needed a ride to San Francisco and he took me instead of me having to take the train! I was in a hurry and really appreciated his help. I've had my car back for over a month now and it''s running better than ever. If you are looking for an honest shop that understands the value of customer service, take your care here!
