Excellent food and a terrific staff. I had stopped in here for the bar and enjoyed the beer selection. Eventually we decided to try the dinner menu, not expecting much. However, the food was superb. The say it is all made from scratch and I believe it. Obviously a lot of people in Cole Valley have figured out how good it is! Great job everyone at Kezar.

A great time!. I've been to the Kezar several times now, and each visit was an absolute blast! The food is quite good (get the fish and chips!) and the service is great, also. There are times when it does get VERY crowded so the service can slow down a little, but that is entirely understandable when serving both food and MANY drinks to a very enthusiastic crowd. There is usually rugby if you get bored with American football like I do. :) I highly recommend this place and can't wait to go back to SF so I can go back. Have fun.

Great neighborhood bar. I loved this place when i lived in the neighborhood and still look for excuses to go. the chef is great, except for the pasta dishes which he always puts just one too many things in (pine nuts and peas don't always have to be in a pasta dish). The atmosphere is great, very comfortable.

the waitstaff is consistently bland and unhelpful, and they always look the same from year to year. But whatever - go if you have a few hours to spend with some good friends.

Great pub food. The pub food is great. Hard to believe one is in a pub when the quality, hearty food comes out. People who walk into a pub looking for a+ service are missguided. The staff is as friendly as the bar atmosphere present at the moment. I wouldn't want to be in a pub that operated differently. Good mix of American and international sports....

A blissful coexistence of tie-dye and touchdowns in the heart of the Haight.. The Scene
The 49ers used to play at Kezar Stadium across the street, but the Kezar Pub (which still bills itself as "the home of the 49ers") doesn't play favorites during football season. Fifteen televisions and four satellites bring you ESPN2, Game Day and every single NFL game. They also show rugby, soccer and even Gaelic football (feverish fans of which will be happy to explain the rules and provide running commentary). Pool tables and dartboards offer halftime amusement.

The Draw

A full menu of typical bar grub (chicken wings, onion rings) and draft beers make this the ideal afternoon chill-out sports stop. Sundays are packed with neighborhood regulars eager for brunch and bloody mary specials.

Best Food In Town. Okay...so I know that is a bit much, but I have lived here in SF for only a few months and I do mean it when I say it is the best I've had. I suppose if you are the type of person who goes to the higher end restaurants in town, then you get great food there, but if that is you I am sure that you aren't reading this review. Anyway, the food was great (the bruschetta appetizer was the best ever and the pulled pork sandwich was great). And it was all for a really good price for this city. I'd go there once a week if I lived in the neighborhood. Great pub food.

Nice Neighborhood Rest.. I use to LOVE this place. In recent years the food quality seems to have diminished but it still remains a comfortable and convenient place to eat. I would not recommend going out of your way to eat here.

good taps bad pool tables. It's a great place to gather for sporting events because of its limited space, young crowd and low ceilings

Great place, great neighborhood.. I go here all the time. It's so easy and low key, but don't be fooled....they have great food. It's a step beyond your typically burger and beer, and will keep a little change in your pocket at the same time. Go there.

Amazing Lamb Burger. This has always been a good place to get pub food that's a little bit more up-market - but the lamb burger I had there recently was quite simply the BEST BURGER I've ever had. The bread was perfectly toasted, the lime-mint aioli was a fantastic addition to the perfectly cooked lamb, and grilled onions sealed the deal. As usual we had the cajun fries which were tremendous. Our waitress was bubbly and friendly, and it ended up being a reasonably cheap dinner.
