great hair starts here. I ended up at the Light Fantastic because my wonderful hairdresser moved there from another salon. It's a cute, comfortable salon on Fillmore in the lower Haight on the hair salon strip. (There are a couple of other salons within a block.) They offer your standard hair salon services- colors, cuts, blow outs and they also do keratin treatments. Ask for Kara; she's a genius. If she's not available the others do great work too. I've watched them all from behind my foils many times and their customers walk out looking fabulous. Their prices are pretty much standard for the area. If you're paying $$$ at a Union Square salon you should consider this place. You'll get Union Square quality (that's where all the hairdressers came from) with lower Haight prices.
