Food is not bad, but the service and attitude are terrible.
So, six of us decided to eat there since we were in the neighborhood. We got the table and ordered food. It arrived one hour and thirty minutes later. During that time, in those very few moments that we were able to get waiters attention, we repeatedly asked to bring whatever is ready right now. Nothing.
Well, maybe that is the kind of restaurant that specializes in slow service. No sweat. A party of four seats next two us. They order, and amazingly their food arrived 15 minutes later. And it's not that our food looked that much different from theirs. Same sushi.
Well, they did not like us. It happens. The bill arrives with 16% gratuity included in it. We ask to remove that from the bill. No argument from the waiter. He brings a new bill without gratuity. We divide it by 6, each pays our share, and one of us (a Ph.D. in Math, who counts pretty well) makes sure that we left the correct amount. We leave the cache on the table and exit the restaurant. A block away, the waiter chases us with the money and says that we did not leave enough. Our Ph.D. guy counts it, and it's $20 short. Well, at that point we should have told the guy to get lost or call police or something. However, it was our first, and we were at a loss of words, so we coughed up the $20 and very agitated went to play poker. However, I need to do at least something about this. Thus, this review. Hope it discourages at least some people from going there.
