Stay anywhere else but here!.
They do not understand hospitality!
So, I am getting married in September, and the wedding coordinators from the banquet hall where I am having my reception suggested in their information packet the Seal Rock Inn for accommodations.
I called the Seal Rock Inn, and the manager at the Seal Rock Inn used a sharp tone of voice with me when I asked him questions about booking rooms for my wedding. I told him his tone of voice was rude and I was just asking questions. There is apparently a history of people booking too many rooms at the Seal Rock Inn for their weddings, but I was being treated by him as though I had done something wrong. This problem seems to have an easy remedy! I have no intentions of ever booking a room here or suggesting that anyone I know do so. When I asked him if he was the owner or manager, he said "Yes, good-bye" and hung up on me before the conversation was over!
He hung up on me two more times the same day when I called hoping to work with him to make reservations because the Seal Rock Inn is the only place listed by the reception coordinators from the banquet hall.
This is the worst restaurant I have ever visited.
About 2 weeks ago, I was sitting outside the restaurant, way in the back far from the entrance, with my two service dogs. The manager came out and told me that I could not leave my dogs tied up in the back if I wanted to dine there (I was waiting for 6 friends). When he saw the service patches on the dogs, he asked me what my disability was. I told him that was an illegal request and that I was not attempting to bring the dogs into the restaurant but would leave them outside. He then told me he did not like my attitude and said he was exercising his right to refuse service to me. He even called the police, who were outraged as his conduct. I will be suing this place and suggest that no one ever go there.
I won't go back!. . I used to go there all the time and They would just stand there when you were waiting for your bill. If you asked for your bill you would still wait... I went there with my Mother there were four in our party and we were just jamed at a small table in an emty restaurant. When I asked for a bigger table this waitress said it was to big for us. The table was set for five....
Worst Restaurant Experience EVER.
After being a longtime customer, I had the worst restaurant experience of my life here. My husband introduced me to this place back in 2001 after we'd first met. It became one of our top breakfast spots, since we live in the Sunset. We took so many people here over the years, parents - everyone! We couldn't have been more surprised when this happened:
We had just finished up a pre-wedding meeting at our reception hall. We decided to take my maid of honor here for a bite. While we were waiting for our meal, a party was seated at an adjoining table. In plain view of the waiter, one of them accidentally knocked over a vase of flowers onto our laps. Water was everywhere, all over us. It wouldn't have been a big deal, but the waiter just walked off. Both our table and the other party spent several minutes trying to flag down any of the help, but no one would stop. My husband finally got up and dared to take a napkin off of an empty table nearby to wipe some of the water off of his pants. One big bully of a guy in an apron started screaming after him not to take napkins off of other tables! My husband was already on his way out the door to the restrooms (they're outside), so he didn't stop. When he came back, this same thug came over to our table yelling, swearing, and called my husband a F#@king IDIOT for taking the napkin! None of us could believe our ears! I'd never seen him before, so I thought he was new. I said, "Sir, I'd like to speak to your manager. Why would you talk to a customer this way?!" And he told us he WAS the manager and to GET OUT!! The entire restaurant was in shock. Not only did we get up to leave, but 8 other people, too! To make matters worse, as we walked out, we heard him say to a waitress that it was "ok, they're not REGULARS." !!! Afterward, we tried to contact the hotel and the owners, but we were told that this brute had been put in charge indefinitely. We had no recourse. Don't go here unless you want to be disrespected.
A great bargain with ocean views and easy access to the city..
This oceanfront motel is located next to Sutro Heights Park and just a few blocks from the famed Cliff House, Sutro Bath Ruins and Golden Gate Park. Many of the rooms boast beautiful ocean and Seal Rock views, and all are fabulously large, making them popular with families. Most accommodations on the third floor have wood-burning fireplaces; you're given a set of logs when you check in. Stovetop kitchenette units are available. The cute, Mediterranean-style Seal Rock Inn restaurant serves breakfast and a special Greek lunch menu.
Not High On My List. Almost having a good view of the ocean does not make up for the fact that the Seal Rock Inn Restaurant has terrible service and average food. We ate here for breakfast and waited quite a while before finally being served. We were then served a very average morning meal. The omelettes did look good, though. Everything else on the menu is forgettable. But you get what you pay for, this restaurant has fairly low prices.
