Chic spot for Roman cuisine in the Mission--definitely a moneyed crowd. Top-notch cocktails and amari, and the fried artichokes should be on everyone's table. The pastas are classically Roman: try the amatriciana and cacio e pepe.

Tips for Locanda

No misses on this menu. We loved everything on the menu --fava beans crostini, cresenza tortellini, sweet breads with artichoke, sugo pasta, and the cocktails. Even my usually vegetarian friend tried the sugo and liked it. Next time we'll order a dish with guancaile and see what she thinks.
