Excellent. – I've been searching out Oceana Pet Hospital all over the Internet so that I can write them an excellent review everywhere because they deserve it! I had an awful experience with another pet hospital in the area, and had to make an impulsive decision to go to Oceana -- best decision I've made lately! The staff is helpful and the doctors are extremely compassionate and competent. I liked the experience so much that I decided to transfer all of my pets' records to them. Highly recommended.
Compassionate and Professional Care – Chocolate, My best friend and confidante for fourteen years has been suffering from some aging problems. I took her to the Oceana Pet Hospital to get her some help. The doctors and staff were extremely helpful and professional. From the time I went through the front door to the time I left the all exhibited a lot of care, concern and compassion for both Chocolate and me. I trust them completely because they truly have a calling for what they do.
Best Pet Hospital in Pacifica – This place IS awesome. I brought my big man (Bruin) to Dr. Tabai ,as a puppy for the puppy package. They have great hours and were able to accommodate me AFTER work so I never had to take extra time off.
In addition to Bruin's puppy package I also had him neutered here. The cost was very reasonable.
The staff is warm and friendly. They even give you confirmation calls the day before your appointment!
Once, I found a tick (I know, BAD mommy!) on Bruin and although my step-dad was able to remove the tick, I took him to Dr. Tabai in case there was any of the tick remaining and because I was freaked out that he may have contracted lyme disease (paranoid, yes). They were able to take me as a walk-in. Dr. Tabai looked over him and confirmed that the entire tick was removed. She said he should be fine and recommended advantix (I had been using comfortis which does NOT prevent against anything other than flea eggs and fleas). When I left I had expected to pay an examination fee but they didn't charge me.. AWESOME!
Best Pet Care in the SF Bay Area – Three years ago I heard about the ‘new Vets in town’ from a good friend. She raved about how nice they were and the attention they paid to her dog. After listening to how happy she was I decided to make an appointment to meet with them to see if they might better meet my needs as well. I was so impressed with my meeting with Dr Tabai that I immediately had my dogs records transferred to their practice. Later this would turn out to be one of the best decisions of my life.
Two years ago my precious little girl, Shoshona, Bloated (Gastric Dilation and Volvulus), a life threatening emergency condition which requires immediate surgery. We arrived at the Vets just prior to opening. The Vet Tech arrived, got the necessary information from me and was on the phone with the doctor. Within minutes the Vets had arrived and X-rays were being taken. Within 20 minutes of our arrival my little girl was in surgery. Thanks to the experience and skills of these wonderful doctors my little girl is alive and doing well.
I always like to talk to other owners there with their pets while waiting for our appointments. Its amazing how many feel good stories I’ve heard about how the doctors have gone that extra mile to help a client and their pets.
I’m thrilled with their new state of the art building. I would encourage anyone to stop by if you haven’t done so already. The waiting room is spacious and well planned. There is plenty of room for clients and their pets. I’ll never forget Dr Nia’s excitement when she spoke of the new building and how they would have room now for people to spend time alone and be comfortable while visiting their ill pets. This is something they were short on at their prior location and I think it speaks volumes of Dr. Nia’s dedication not only to the pets but their caregivers as well.
The support staff are always courteous and professional. Follow up calls are made to check the status of the patient as well as to answer any questions that may have arisen.
When it comes to my dogs I want them to only have the best that life has to offer which includes the quality of their healthcare. By choosing Drs Nia and Tabai I have the peace of mind knowing that I have achieved this goal.
