This cafe brings cheap Czech dishes to the FiDi..
Feeling more like something you'd find on a twisty alley in Prague than a side street in the FiDi, this cafe gracefully nails the Eastern European ambiance: salmon pink walls are dotted with cityscape murals, framed mirrors and Socialist-era paintings; gruff patrons idle through either American-style sandwiches on thin focaccia or Czech specials like goulash or sauerbraten with dumplings; service is at once frantic and sluggish, but genuinely friendly. While the out-of-the-way location and pace of dining doesn't lend itself to a quick in-and-out business lunch, this place can be a pleasure if you come for a backpacking-in-Prague experience—slow service, decent food and charming people included.
