Don’t let the name deter you. Kaka doesn’t mean the same thing in Japan as it does here. What you’ll find at this casual, Franklin street corner restaurant are homemade udon noodles with your choice of soy, curry kombu (dry seaweed), miso or pork based soup. Udon accompaniments include spam musubi, potato croquettes, shrimp tempura and other casual Japanese bites. If you’re not in the noodle mood, opt for the fried blazing oysters with a topping of spicy cream cheese.
