What Our Expert Scouts Are Saying
Sure, their former ruler was accused of cavorting with women of the night. Sure, their debt situation is tenuous at best. But all would be forgiven if Italy just cooked us a nice dinner. At Cotogna, San Francisco's newest and most buzzed about Italian resto, the culinary expertise of the nation is on full display with options like artfully prepared lamb ragu served over paparadelle and warm ricotta cheese decorated with wild mushrooms.

This offshoot from the Quince team has
it all: delicious Italian dishes, smart service, good value, cocktails, choice wines, and a handsome interior. Great for a lunch meeting, but equally fab for a dinner date.

Cotogna proves that simple pasta and
pizza can be truly elegant. The wine list is stellar and the food unbelievable. The raviolo and daily pie selection are always must orders. Seriously, this place is so good, you've gotta eat there!

Have a serious crush on this
oh-so-seasonal spot. Tables can be hard to come by, so when you get one, make the most of it. Prix fixe lunch menu is a great deal. Fantastic pastas & I love the rooftop carrots!
