Citysearch Editorial Review. When chef/owner Traci des Jardins decided to swap out her high-end steakhouse at AT&T Park for two shared-space, more casual ventures, she balanced her gamble (a new beer-focused gastropub in Public House) with a sure thing next door: a second outpost of her consistently popular quick-Mexican joint, Mijita. Like its Ferry Building sibling, Mijita at the ballpark offers antojitos made from sustainable ingredients, like crispy chicharrons and quesadillas, alongside an impressive list of tacos, from deep-fried rock cod to carnitas. While the menu is mostly authentic, Mijita knows its baseball-game-going audience and concedes a few “not so authentico” crowd-pleasers—some pretty kickass nachos and jalapeno poppers. Perhaps the most noteworthy offering, however, is the house margarita, which can be purchased for less than the cost of a concession-stand domestic beer and brought with you to your seat through a gate accessible only from inside the restaurant.
