Roto Rooter RWC - service 9/13/10. While working in the yard, I heard water running through the gutter. There was no rain, so I investigated further and immediately noticed food waste spewing from the kitchn air vent above the kitchen. I was shocked.

I quickly called roto rooter and had a technician, John Cronin, at my door within 45 min. He quickly explained diagnosised and explained the situation and fix. He proceeded to remove the clean out cap (leaded on probably in 1950's), snaked the line and clean out the blockage.

The most impressive aspect was that while chiseling out the clean out cap (and replacing it), he warned me to watch the pipes under the sink. He explained that the vibrations from the chiseling might loosen the pipes. Sure enough the pipe began to leak. John stopped chiseling, tightened the pipe, completed the cap remove and snaking without further problem.

Not only was John professional, helpful and courtesy but he also saved me a huge amount of clean up due to his knowledge and foresight.
