Any bar with Makers Mark and Fernet on tap is bound to be boatloads of fun! Also worth noting: the paper bag forties and bombass nachos.
Number one with a Bullitt.
Love this place.
Always a great atmosphere. Delicious food, from tater tots to scrumptious salads and sandwiches! Plus they have stripper pole upstairs, 40's of Old E, fernet on tap, and a really cool bartender named Messiah.
Only negative, if you show up after 9pm on Friday or Saturday there's a good chance they've got no room for ya... its a tight squeeze. Be prepared to rub up against your neighbor! God thing there's cuties in here :-)
Citysearch Editorial Review. The ambiance at Bullitt is pleasant if unimaginative, but the drinks aren't. Makers Mark and Fernet pour from a tap, and forties of Olde English 800 come served in a brown paper bag. At first glance, Bullitt appears to be little more than a standard Russian Hill/Marina meat market: slick wood paneling lines the walls, flat screen TVs cast a hypnotic glow, and frosted blondes and buttoned up dudes crowd the bar, looking for a good time on the rocks. Despite the fact that Bullitt took its name from the famous 1968 Steve McQueen movie, there is no decorative nod to vintage San Francisco, the movie, or the man himself. The drink selection does, however, offers a dash of style: Bullitt pours Maker's Mark on tap and claims to be the only bar in the world to do the same with Fernet. Forties of Olde English "800" are served in a paper bag with a condom; a novel gimmick, though it's difficult to reconcile spending $9 on a Forty, no matter how bourgeois the stoop.
