Tips for Osha Thai

Good food, terrible service. For the most part, I've always ordered take out from Osha because I live right above it so there is no reason to eat in, but the other day I decided to get wild and actually eat in the restaurant... Big mistake. The food was no better than it is when I order it to go and I actually think the portions were smaller (but still the same price). My biggest gripe about eating in the restaurant is that the service was terrible. There were a ton of servers standing around looking like they were ready to be attentive to the customers, but no such luck. Even after closing our menus and making eye contact several times, we were still left unattended to. It took so long for them to even acknowledge us, we were 30 seconds away contemplated leaving. I will definitely stick to take out from now on.

The newest in more Osha Thai!. feel like I never go wrong with Osha Thai. Though not all the food is great, most of the items I tend to order turn out well.

And this location being a block from work is just so convenient.

For lunch they are super fast and quick to accommodate the working crowd. The space is nice and looks completely different from the previous occupant of the space, Bong Su. The decor is hipster/trendy with a splash of an attempt to be higher end. It works for the crowd and the location.

I don't even remember what I ordered but it was delicious, and came out fast. Beware though this location does not have the same specials as other locations might.

Citysearch Editorial Review. Out with Bong Su, in with the new: Osha Thai's seventh location has all habits of the empire: white leather (?) chairs, mellow electronic music and a very club-like SoMa atmosphere in a long, narrow but spacious setting. The menu hasn't changed much, but a few new items like a tuna poke-seaweed salad have debuted, while signature Osha dishes like Volcanic Beef are a little more expensive here ($17) than they are at say, the Glen Park outpost. But it's still possible to eat cheaply here, with all of the curry and noodle dishes coming in at about $12 (try the spicy pan fried noodle with duck, a sweet-hot and exotic Thai spaghetti. There is a full bar and happy hour, during which specialty cocktails are still somehow $7-8, though beers, luckily, are $3.
