Stone Korean Kitchen fulfills the long-wished-for features of Financial District lunching: good food at a reasonable price, a comfortable place to eat and a realistic chance of getting in and out in
an hour. Named after the hot stone bowl in which the Korean Dish bi bim bap is served, Stone runs with geology theme, with granite two- and four-tops sitting atop slate floors in the small bit airy dining area. The photos of softly lit food porn adorning the walls are unfortunate, but the floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the Embarcadero ice rink, the Bay Bridge, and Ferry Building more than make up for it. The BLT is a spin on the American classic, with Korean-style marinated beef (bulgogi) instead of bacon, while the fried chicken wings and bi bim bap are simple favorites.…
