Fancy Coffee Envy. I'm all about regular coffee, but when I saw the pretty drinks my friends got I had major coffee envy! I came here after lunch at Pier 23 which included a few midday beers = nap time! I had a few hours left at work so went straight to Blue Bottle to get my caffeine on. Their regular coffee is delish! But next time I want to get one of their fancy drinks!

Citysearch Editorial Review. Despite being something of a flagship, the Ferry Building Blue Bottle, design-wise, is disappointing--it has neither the speakeasy coolness of the Hayes Valley alley kiosk, nor science lab-stylishness of the Jessie Street café. It does, however, have two counters to order from, each with its own espresso machine, to keep the inevitably long (and eminently worthwhile) lines of waterfront office workers, ferry commuters and farmers market foodies moving briskly. As per the Blue Bottle ethos, only the basics are offered: the incomparable drip coffee, espresso drinks, and New Orleans iced coffee, plus a few pastries and Humphrey Slocombe affogato (ice cream doused in espresso).
