Citysearch Editorial Review. Unionmade's a men's clothing store built around the idea that shopping should be simple--why carry eight different jeans brands when you can just stock one good one? And, more importantly, why buy jeans from a store that doesn't have its own dog? This small retail space nestled in between the Mission and Castro 'hoods is filled with hand-picked, classic, European and America menswear lines (and a resident hound), many of which are hard to find in the Bay Area (think Pendleton flannel, hand-made down jackets, and Italian leather wallets). Todd Barket opened Unionmade after almost two decades working for the Gap and Old Navy, so while some of the more exclusive European imports don't come cheap, he's also made sure to carry classic American brands that won't break the bank.
