Delightful!.
This place used to be Chill, a frozen yogurt eatery. Now, they've integrated some Asian dishes to the menu (and still serve the FroYo). The Lemongrass Chicken Bahn Mi is delicious. I generally don't like Vietnamese Sandwiches because they smell so much like vinegar, but this one was totally delish!
If you get the meal deal, you get a sandwich, drink and either FroYo or chips. I'd love to get the FroYo, but they should give you a redemption card or something so you can get it AFTER your sandwich otherwise it's all melted!
Definitely will be a great lunch spot.
Citysearch Editorial Review. Formerly known as Chill, a FiDi fro-yo joint, Urban Picnic is now a full-service lunch spot that promises healthy options that fuse the flavors of California and Vietnam. Nguyen brought in some help for this new venture, namely in the form of chef Tim Luym of Poleng Lounge. He's put together a menu chock full of quality, sustainable ingredients (Fulton Valley chickens, Diestel Ranch turkey, tofu from Hodo Soy Beaner, and Uncle Eddie's Cage Free eggs). So it's with the clearest of consciences that downtowners can dig into steaming bowls of pho, chicken or vegetarian Vietnamese sandwiches, or one of Urban's heartier salads, such as the kale and quinoa. Not feeling Asian for lunch? The standard turkey, tuna, and roasted chicken sandwiches are here too, as well as a classic Cobb salad.
