Great food and beer selection!!!. Nice place to spend time with some friends after work to try some European food and Big beer selection from all over the world!
A Western Addition pub serving beer and Eastern Euro grub.. You don't have to be 21 to get into this family-friendly pub near the corner of Fulton and Masonic, a fact underclassmen from the nearby university will likely appreciate, but being legal drinking age certainly helps if you want to thoroughly appreciate what the place has to offer. What the tavern specializes in is an extensive selection of beers--15 on tap and more than 20 bottled, from Spaten to Speakeasy, Baltika to Widmer--and lengthy menu filled with hearty Russian/Eastern European-inspired fare. The Soviet beer hall theme doesn't stop at the bratwurst and goulash, though; the space is literally covered in beer signs, thick-accented waitresses are over-the-top friendly, and bar stool regulars look as though they've been there for hours. Pint glasses may just as likely be filled with Pepsi as Pabst, but the difference in ages just adds to the congenial pub atmosphere.
