Po'boys and chicken and waffles from a SoMa takeout window..
An off-shoot of California soul-food spot Farmer Brown, Little Skillet serves up a full menu of Southern delicacies from a take-out window in a SoMa alley. The house specialty and crowd favorite is chicken and waffles, which can and should be topped with anything from mushroom-herb gravy to grade-A maple syrup, but they also serve up a mean pulled-pork or shrimp po'boy and fresh biscuits. Old-school soda pops like Prince Neville's ginger beer and Fitz's Cream Soda are on hand to wash down the grease, and though there are no chairs, the sunny loading dock across the street serves as Skillet's de-facto seating area.
