What People Are Saying About Suriya Thai Restaurant-

In Short – From the outside, this quiet outer Valencia spot might not call much attention, nevertheless, it's almost always full of Mission locals. Creatively presented "money bags"--deep-fried rice-paper bundles of prawn and chicken--are popular starters. The green papaya salad is served with prawns in a rice-paper bowl, and pad thai fans enjoy the mountainous seafood version.

Amazing food. Super flavorful. Try their Money Bags as an entree, delicious soups, the fresh salmon served on a palm leaf or the generous portion of pumpkin curry for entrees. Don't leave without having the sticky rice with mango for dessert!
- Pros: Delicious food, good prices
Suriya Has Moved to 1532 Howard Street--between 11th &12th
by iQuack at Citysearch
Suriya's Restaurant on Valencia Street has closed, but Suriya has opened a new restaurant on Howard Street between 11th & 12th Streets.
Some friends and I have been fans of Suriya's food for years and tried the new restaurant tonight--it's been open for only a day or two.
Everything we were served was excellent. It's hard to pick favorites here because the food is so good, but be sure to try #6 on the menu. It's a soup that's replete with delicious and well-balanced ingredients; fresh tasting with robust flavors.
All the other dishes were as good as Thai food gets, and that's very good, indeed!
Note that Suriya is now open for lunch. That makes good sense in Suriya's new neighborhood which is largely industrial with many people working in the area.
It's easy to give Suriya's new restaurant a 5 star review. I was saddened when Suriya's on Valencia Street closed, but Suriya is back and his culinary delights are as good as ever.
- Pros: Best Thai food in town
- Cons: None
Suriya has moved!

A true delight to discover that Suriya Thai has now reopened at 1532 Howard, between 11th and 12th ... and that he's not only open for dinner but lunch too (Mon-Sa).
The food was great, as always. Had a delightful soup of leg of pork with daikon ... and the green curry.
And ... parking appears to be more manageable, in contrast to the old location.
- Pros: Outstanding green curry
- Cons: None that i can think of
