Amazing Vietnamese at an amazing price. Lunch is the BEST TIME to eat here and take advantage of the huge portions and reasonable prices. Everything is so tasty, fresh ingredients, seasoned perfectly and the portions are large. We usually order the Shrimp Fried Rice, Filet Mignon w/Garlic Noodles, Five Spice Chicken w/Garlic Noodles, Seafood Curry, Spring Rolls w/Vermicelli Noodles OR Pho Tai.

Mmm Mmm Yummy. I love Vietnamese cuisine and these people do it right. The staff is so friendly and nice to me when i go there. I love their Vietnamese coffee and imperial rolls. The Beef noodles are to die for. I have never had a bad experience and will be a costumer for life.

Mediocre service, delicious food!. Peak lunchtime... The food is good and authentic. The service is a bit poor though. It took forever to get seated. I didn't get water or tea when seated. It took a long time for them to come by and take my order. The other significant parts of the eat-in process also took forever. For a time, I didn't think I was going to get my food. The servers didn't seem like they have a lot of restaurant experience. Overall, it's worth eating there as long as you're a bit agressive in waving them down and asking for what you want. Worth it for the food.

Awesome calamari salad, Tamarind Prawns and Beef filet!. Great value for money.

Try their carrot orange juice!

Tamarind prawns are amazing!

Been there twice and have no complaints!

Friendly neighborhood restaurant. I love this place. The food is great and the service is inviting and attentive. I have only eaten here three times, and the waitress always remembers me. It is great to be welcomed back with a smile and eat their wonderful food!

The Garlic noodles are amazing here, as well as the curry dishes served boiling in a clay p ot.

Atmosphere is among the best I have seen in a Vietnamese restaurant. Clean, tropical and exotic.

Great food, no insects found.... I am writing to respond to the highly melodramatic review by sfdiner80. I have been a frequent patron (about 2-3 a week) of Mangosteen since its opening and I can honestly say that I have NEVER EVER seen a r0ach or other pests/insects in the restaurant, let alone in my food! Granted, the service is not outstanding but the price and taste make it more than tolerable, I hope that sfdiner80 is not taking out the service experience out on the restaurant itself. I live alone so it is a great way to get a good, homecooked meal after work!

HELLA R0ACHEZ!!!. please please PLEASE do not eat here unless you don't mind having r0aches walking on the floor beneath your table, up the side of the wall youre seated next to, and IN YOUR FOOD!

not 5 minutes after a friend and i ordered, i spotted a baby r0ach crawling up the wall a foot away from me. we decided to stay since our food was already ordered, we just moved the table away from the wall. once our food arrived, another baby r0ach climbed up the wall, so we called the waitor over to inform him discreetly of the situation. he just moved our food over a table over. so we started to eat, and the food was actually not bad at all, until my friend found a fly in her pho. at that point she completely lost her appetite. we informed the waitor, showed him the fly, to which his response was "oh, yes theres a fly in there. is that okay with you?"needless to say, we replied no. and told him we want the check and a box for my food. they removed the pho from the bill, we paid, and even left a tip. once i got home i began to finish my meal, since i hadnt spotted any insects in it. but after i had been eating it for a good 15 minutes, i discoverd a half inch long dead r0ach in my garlic noodles and cubed filet mignon.

i live only 3 blocks away, so as disgusted as i was, i walked down the street, back to the restaurant to share my findings and demand our money back. but our waitor added insult to injury by insinuating that the r0ach found its way into my food after i had left the restaurant 20 min ago. he tried to deny my refund by saying "well..once its packed up and u leave...." after i explained to him, that his argument makes no logical sense, the waitress who was at the register returned our $13.
