Buca is wonderful!. It's not fancy, but it's hearty, filling, and quite tasty. The meat sauce is quite good, and the pizzas have a wonderfully thin crust, making them a little lighter than the average pizza chain. It's definitely comfort food, and LOTS of it. Make sure you bring reinforcements, as two small entrees and a salad serve about 4-5 very hungry people! For dessert, (if you have any room left), try the tiramisu or the spumoni ice cream.

Good place for lunchtime indulgence. Had a coworker's birthday lunch at BDB recently and must say that the value can't be beat. The food's mediocre at best on most dishes (with the exception of the chicken parmesan and the caprese salad as well as the salad w/pancetta and gorgonzola) but the prices are great, the food is really tasty for what it is, and the atmosphere is a lot of fun for a big group of people who wouldn't typically choose to spend time together. The waitstaff is really nice and accomodating and the lunch crowd is pretty sparse. Definitely worth a try for large groups, but I wouldn't take a date there.

Quantity, Not Quality. Yes Buca di Beppo gives you giant portions for all to share. Unfortunately the food is not the greatest. Based solely on the quality of the food I would not recommend this restaurant. However, it is a great place to dine with a large group (because of the previously mentioned giant portions). It has a fun atmosphere and a nice waitstaff. But if you're looking for good Italian food, eat elsewhere.

incredible experience. My son and his girlfriend took us to this place while we were visiting them in San Francisco and we had a party of 6 so we ordered a wide variety of food and each item was served at the perfect time and in spite of the place being totally crazy with busy-ness, we were never without attention from our servers. It was a wonderful experience that made our trip to the city unforgettable. Thank you so much. Buca di Beppo! We look forward to coming back!

Buca Delivers. We used Buca Di Beppo to deliver our food through the Waiters on Wheels service. Wow the larger portions were perfect for our All-star baseball game party at our house. I highly recommend you use this service with Buca di Beppo to feed the larger parties at your house.

Plenty of food to eat. Great for family/ group dining. The more people you come with, the more money you save. Most food comes in two sizes: Small or large. Small feeds 2-3 people. Large feeds 4-6 people. Their corn meal crusted pizzas is fabolous. Pasta dishes are delightful. The house specials are worth to try. Their "7 lbs of love" (chicked dish) is an amusing sight for eyes and enough to feed everybody in the group. Go on, get loud and don't forget to save room for Tiramisu.

Good compromise. A lot of food, not as bad as some other reviews say. It is great for groups, when you are 10 and want to taste different dishes, it is a good compromise for pretty cheap!

Terrible!. This is an example of how italian food can turn into a big pile of mush. The food is terrible and lots of it. If you want real italian food stay away from this place. You can feed a lot of hungry people with the amount of food that is wasted here.

If you dont go for taste .... I've heard some people mentioned about this place. So we went there, made reservation 2 weeks prior. If your party aren't all there, you can't be seated & have to wait for your turn.

Portion size is worth the money. But how it taste.... that's a different story. The food taste just ok. The salad came drenched in dressing. Not too appetizing.

Great place to have a big crowd & big party though. You can be as noisy as you can be.

Just ok. The best thing we had was the garlic bread. the other dishes were huge but taste was mediocre. I don't eat meat, but friends ordered the meatballs and they said it wasn't that great. I've had better fried calamari appetizers. It wasn't bad, but just ok. What would have made it better was if it came to the table hot. We were seated promptly and service was good, but that's also because it wasn't so crowded on a Monday, when our group went.
