Jewel box wine bar in the Richmond with a wide selection.. Like a dirty dim sum joint in the heart of the Marina, this modern, elegant wine bar on a bleak stretch of Geary Boulevard is most surprising in the fact that it simply doesn't belong. Patrons flock at happy hour to grab a spot at the dark marble bar or one of the intimate low tables; unique bare light bulbs dangle from the ceiling, providing just enough light to read through the pages of internationally sourced reds, whites and bubbles by the glass or bottle. Shareable dishes like cheese plates and gourmet sandwiches are meant more as a compliment to your pinot noir than a meal in themselves. While prices (and noise levels) are much more Marina than Inner Richmond area oenophiles will appreciate this little bastion of bourgeois in their humble hood.
