Smoky ribs, silky soft pulled pork and brisket, delicious sauces and good beer on tap.
YUM YUM YUM.
Everything in this place is delicious. From the diferent trypes of ribs to the cornbread. The bannana pudding is out of this world!
Great atmosphere and everyone is very friendly inside. They even have live music. Check it out if you are in the mood in eating with you hands
Best BBQ I've ever had in San Francisco.
Baby Blues where have you been all my life?? lucky for me, i found you and the best BBQ i've ever had in the city! I have been a handfull of times, nothing tops the brisket thus far, but everything I have had, i will be having again... The Hound Dog which was Memphis style ribs and beef brisket with a side of greens is what we had the first time. The meat was tender and tasty. The greens were perfectly cooked and were a little spicy and sweet.
not only does this place rock, they have a great selection of beers on tap, my favorite, Guiness pretty much seals the deal of this being a top 10-list place to eat and drink.
Don't waste your money!.
Don't waste your money! After reading the raved review in the local newspaper, I was excited to try this place, but VERY DISSAPPOINTED! I tried their baby back ribs and it's a bit dry, thought their "famous" BBQ sauce would help, nothing outstanding, a bottle of Bull's Eye would tasted better. I can actually BBQ a better ribs at home. Then, their pulled pork tasted like plain boiled pork, no taste to it. Tried 4 of their side dishes, the creamed spinach was runny, looked like they boiled the spinach and stirred in a cream sauce, no favor to it. Baked bean, mac n' cheese and collard greens, all flat with no taste, everything is just food.
To add insult to injury, their prices are too expensive for the neighborhood and quality. Their portions are too small. Not worth it! Although, I am all for supporting local small restaurant, I will never return.
Excellent service, great food.
This place rocks. Both times I've visited, the waitstaff were very friendly and knowledgable about the menu. Love the corn bread, banana pudding and the beef brisket. So far, I've liked everything I've tried.
One final note on service. I ordered a burger and side of spinach to go. As we were getting into our car (a block away), a server came running up to the car to let us know they had forgotten to include the spinach! That is service. Can't wait to use the delivery service..
Homestyle barbeque from down south--Venice Beach, that is--at this clean and spacious Outer Mission meat temple.. Baby Blues comes to us via LA, not exactly known as the provenance of great BBQ--or good food in general, for that matter--but we'll adopt this SoCal transplant as our own. The space is brightly lit and basic, with a marble bar, a dining room, and a mix of art and neon beer signs on the walls, but that's downright upscale for a BBQ joint; when you're eating ribs, better to have a roll of paper towels on the table than a white tablecloth. Speaking of ribs, they come in the baby back, Memphis and Texas beef varietals, and there's also pulled pork and beef brisket, all heartbreakingly tender. Meat's the main event, but the sides don't slouch: mac and cheese, sauteed okra and greasy, sweet hunks of cornbread stand up on their own. Sandwiches from BBQ'd chicken to shrimp po'boys to the "Lasker Burger" (with bleu cheese, maple bacon and lingonberry mustard) are good on-the-go options.
